Hanoi

Hanoi (Vietnamese: Hà Nội) estimated population 3,145,300(2005), is the capital of Vietnam . From 1010 until 1802, it was the political center of an independent Vietnam with a few brief interruptions. It was eclipsed by Hue during the Nguyen Dynasty as the capital of Vietnam, but served as the capital of French Indochina from 1887 to 1945. From 1945 to 1976, it was the capital of North Vietnam.

Boutique

from the story, Helix by Banana Yoshimoto

A boutique, from the French word for "shop," is a small shopping outlet, especially one that specialises in elite and fashionable items such as clothes and jewelry. It can also refer to a specialized firm such as a boutique investiment bank or boutique law firm. The word is often used to describe a property in the independent section of the hotel market (such as The Rockwell in London) in order to distinguish themselves from larger chains (such as Hilton Group). In such cases the idea is that the operation is elite and highly specialized.

In the strictest sense of the word, boutiques would be one-of-a-kind but more generally speaking, some chains can be referred to as boutiques if they specialize in particularly stylish offerings. In the U.S., Shaper Image might be described as a boutique chain or selling boutique items. In Japan, chains such as 3 Minutes Happiness, MUGI, and RanKing are well-known boutiques.

Boutique (ブティック) is a wellknown word in Japan.

Valentine's Day

http://www.pictureframes.co.uk/pages/saint_valentine.htm

There are many stories of the origin of Valentine's day.

One of those is this.
Some experts state that it originated from St. Valentine, a Roman who was martyred for refusing to give up Christianity. He died on February 14, 269 A.D. Also, St. Valentine left a farewell note for the jailer's daughter, and signed it "From Your Valentine".

Your Name

I wrote your name in the sky,
but the wind blew it away.
I wrote your name in the sand,
but the waves washed it away.
I wrote your name in my heart,
and forever it will stay.

- Jessica Blade -

When I start liking someone, I say his name to myself.
I don't know why but I always do.
When I am walking by myself, I just say his name.
When I am taking a bath, I write his name on the bath tub with my finger.
It sounds little bit creepy, but thats what I do. haha
Thats why I like this poem.

Friendship doubles our joy and divides our grief

This quote is absolutely true.
I cannot live without friends.
When I first came to America, all I did was to try to make as many friends I could.
I cannot imagine what I would have done without them.
It would have been a different world.

When I am having a problem without having friends around, the problem seems HUGE and complicated. If I talk to my friends, it seems small and simple.
It makes me feel better.

All I need is friends and family, and I have wonderful friends and family.
I AM HAPPY ; )

kimono

I know all about this, but I wanted to put this on my blog
because I love Kimono and all other Japanese traditional culture.

Kimono is Japanese traditional clothing.
Originally kimono was used for all types of clothing, but it came to refer specifically to the full-length garment that is still worn by women, men, and children.
We do not wear it regually anymore, but we wear it for New years, wedding, and 20th celebration ceremony.
I will be wering it next year. cant wait ; )
